Fake Stamp Paper comes back to haunt Pawar & Co  Mumbai: The buried ghost of the fake stamp paper scam resurfaced on Thursday in connection with the appointment of a top city police officer, who allegedly paid bribes to two top politicians -- NCP chief Sharad Pawar and his lieutenant Chhagan Bhujbal. BJP MLA Anil Gote produced to the media a copy of a report of polygraph test done on a police officer Dilip Kamath, who was arrested in 2003 for providing facilities to Abdul Karim Telgi, kingpin of the multi-crore scam, in police custody. The report signed by Dr S Malini, Assistant Director of Bangalore-situated Forensic Science Laboratory, on February 4, 2005, mentions Kamath’s answer to several question asked to him. Seismic trouble - Why it happens! Washington: Scientists have discovered the mechanism that generates earthquakes which occur away from tectonic plate boundaries. While earthquakes along tectonic plate boundaries are caused by motion between the plates, earthquakes away from fault lines are primarily driven by motion beneath the plates, researchers have found. Just beneath the Earth’s crust is a layer of hot, semi liquid rock that is continually flowing- heating up and rising, then cooling and sinking. That convective process, interacting with the ever changing motion of the plates at the surface, is driving intra-plate seismicity and determining in large part where those earth-quakes occur. Jinan, 18, a Yazadi, was captured in early 2014 and held by ISIS jihadists for three months before she managed to flee, she said on a visit to Paris ahead the publication on Friday of a book about her ordeal.
