Couple remains locked in toilet for three days
Kottayam: “It was our second lease of life”, said M.J. Joseph, looking at his wife Eliamma.

It all began when Joseph, who was unwell, went to the toilet. After hearing a thud from inside, his wife rushed in to see Joseph lying unconscious on the floor.
In her anxiety, she inadvertently closed the toilet door after her, which got jammed. Worse still, the door did not have a latch.
Eliamma kept on shouting in the hope that the neighbours will hear her, but nothing happened. She saw the toilet brush handle was made of iron. She kept hitting the key hole with it still a small hole was made and finally the door could be opened.

French Queen’s pin found in toilet
Paris: A hairpin belonging to 16th century French Queen Catherine de Medici has been discovered at a royal residence outside Paris. And what’s left conservators scratching their heads is where it was found: a latrine. Officials said it’s the first time in living history that a possession of the Renaissance royal has been found at Fontainebleau Palace. The 3.5 inch pin was identified because it bore the initial “C” and the white and green finish known to be Catherine’s colours. The rare artifact was found in a toilet waste receptacle. It was discovered as the community facility was being prepared for restoration work.

Cats have nine lives they say. But this one (in pic) survived clinging onto the underside of a train for a journey of 118 miles.

Rail workers were stunned when they discovered the frightened feline with no obvious injuries despite his nonstop trip all the way from the south coast of England to Wales, reports ‘The Sun’.
The cat, who has been christened “Thomas” after the famous fictional train, made the extraordinary three-hour ride from Southampton to Cardiff. A baffled worker at the Freightliner Limited dockyards in Cardiff found the young male after his freight train adventure.
The employee called the RSPCA and when their officers visited the dockyard the nervous cat was hiding under the rail manager’s sofa.
The moggie, who has a white tuff on his chest, was taken to the animal welfare charity’s Merthyr Tydfil clinic for vaccinations and a vet check up.
He is now being cared for at a cattery. Despite not being fitted with a microchip, the RSPCA do not believe Thomas is a stray due to his good health and friendly nature.
The animal welfare charity is now keen to find his owners and has appealed to anyone who knows anything about him to get in touch.

Man survives plunge over Niagara Falls

Sheep rain on cars

Police say the sheep fell onto the Princess Highway outside Melbourne after the truck crashed and flipped on its side, causing it to hang precariously from the overpass. Several cars on the Princess Highway were damaged by the falling sheep and several people were injured. Paramedic Allan Eade says there were “a large number” of dead and injured sheep. Driver Robert Leardi says he was lucky he was not seriously hurt when the falling livestock damaged his car. He says he was driving when “all of a sudden these sheep are falling down from the top of an overpass.
