We are well in to the 2013. The month of Feb. is the traditional national budget month. Railway Budget is expected to be more rational with some fare raise across the board. If the services and safety has to be updated continuously, the element of fare raise has to be there. For far too long we have been operating pro-people budget. Deficit finance has always been the last resort to keep the people happy. There are many elements which contribute to the problem of deficit financing, uncontrolled govt. expenditure, subsidized goods and services, escalation of infrastructural costs by avoidable delays by the contractors for mostly wrong reasons. Besides, mopping up of resources from all sources, has to be on the basis of what-traffic-can-bear. Those who can, should pay more. Largesse to politicians should be under check. Every rupee saved matters. Finance Minister has promised a ‘responsible budget’. He is an intelligent man but being business friendly, he needs to be watched.
Month-in-Perspective has, as usual, tried to cover the pan Indian and global concerns. Of course, subject to space constraints. One of the issues that disturbed pan Indian sensitivity, was the highly emotive happening at the border involving two of our jawans killed. They were reportedly beheaded with one of the body left with no head and taken by the escaping Pak sentries. Of course as usual Pakistan has denied the diabolic role of Pak army.
We have taken up the issue of series of denials that Pakistan is known for, under Focus.  Hope readers would find it interesting and revert with your inputs.

ELECTION – 2024 – 2029 How Formidable is Narendra Modi for opposition to Challenge! But who is Modi – Narendra Damordas Modi? A resident of Vadnagar, in north eastern Mehsana district of Gujarat where he completed his schooling. Born in Sept 1950, he started to attend the local RSS Shakha at the age of 8, where he met his future mentor Laxman Rao Inamdar. TEMPLE IN AYODHYA- An Overdue STATEMENT 22nd January 2024, shall mark as a very significant day in the contemporary history of India that is Bharath.
