Living on borrowed time!






Tocreate a global awareness on the impending rising sea levels due to climate change, the government of Maldives did something apparently weird. They conducted a cabinet meeting under water. The islands of Maldives is just 1.5 mtr above the sea level. And by the current levels of rising sea water, by the true of century the sea level is expected to rise by ½ a meter, which really shall mean, it only a matter of time that the entire country of Maldives shall be submerged one day. Maldives is the lowest lying nation on earth. Unless of course, some serious remedial measures are taken to halt and reduce greenhouse gas emission.
